Mathis Staff Spotlight: Zach Mathis

If y’all have visited our Leesburg location, you’ve probably met Zach Mathis, our Store Manager. If you happened to walk in during the Fall, you’ve definitely heard him talk about the Georgia Bulldog’s most recent game! He’s a big part of what makes working at Mathis so great, and why our customers come back to look for equipment or just to chat.

How long have you worked at Mathis Trailers?

3 years, but I’ve worked at Dykes Creek Farm Supply since I was about 15!

What do you enjoy about your job at Mathis?

Working with family! I love trying to carry on the tradition my parents started 25+ years ago.

What’s a great customer experience you’ve had during your time here?

This is kind of a broad answer but I LOVE when a customer says the shop with us because they feel like family by the way they are treated here!

Tell us about your family (spouse, kids, etc).

Ansley Mathis, my beautiful wife. December marked 5 years! Maybrie Mathis, our beautiful little princess of a daughter. She’s known as Mayberry and turned 2 in December!

Do you have any animals? If so, what are they / how many / what are their names?

Two pups!

What’s one piece of equipment you use on your farm/property that you’d recommend someone else get?

Specifically a Branson tractor with loader, but I’d also recommend used tractors with loaders. Makes life so much easier no matter the size of the farm!
